Alexander the Great had Aristotle

Imagine ...

what worlds could YOU conquer
if you had a great political leadership coach?

Alexander the Great: First Political Leader Known to Be Coached

Plutarch, the Greek historian, biographer and essayist reports that when Alexander was 13, King Philip II of Macedon

"saw that his son's nature was unyielding and that he resisted compulsion, but was easily led by reasoning into the path of duty ... and because he would not wholly entrust the direction and training of the boy to the ordinary teachers of poetry and the formal studies, feeling that it was a matter of too great importance ... he sent for the most famous and learned of philosophers, Aristotle, and paid him a noble and appropriate tuition-fee."

The rest is history.  By age 20, Alexander the Great was king and had started the war against Persia. During the next nine years he became one of the most successful military commanders in history, never having experienced a defeat.  By the time of his death from malaria at age 29, he had conquered most of the world known to the ancient Greeks.

The First Conquest: Self

You may not plan to conquer the world, just a corner of it.  But every conqueror including the political leader — must first conquer self.  Said Plato, the teacher of Aristotle:

“The first and best victory is to conquer self;
to be conquered by self is of all things most shameful and vile.”

From time immemorial, the careers of promising political leaders have been still-born, ended prematurely, or drifted along aimlessly because they did not conquer self, but were conquered by it.

The Goals of Political Leadership Coaching the Way We Do It

  1. To help you gain self awareness and attain mastery of self.

  2. To bring out the Inner Tiger that will lead you from good to great, from success to significance.

  3. To help you discover the balance that is right for you between prudence and boldness, enabling you to make daring (but not reckless) leaps through your ring of fire.

  4. To equip you with the tool box, skill set, and mindset essential to building and sustaining momentum for your ideas, initiatives and future.

  5. To develop or strengthen within you the disciplines of effectiveness and execution that will ensure that your Big Ideas and Initiatives make it into the annals of political history.
